Preparation method

The solubility of this compound in DMSO is > 10 mM. General tips for obtaining a higher concentration: Please warm the tube at 37 °C for 10 minutes and/or shake it in the ultrasonic bath for a while. Stock solution can be stored below - 20 °C for several months.

1 pM ~ 1 μM

Applications

In primary hippocampal cells, E4 alone or in combination with MPP Dihydrochloride significantly decreased H2O2-induced LDH activity. Moreover, E4, E4 ﹢MPP Dihydrochloride or E4 ﹢MPP Dihydrochloride ﹢ PHTTP significantly increased the cell survival rate, which suggested that neither inhibition of ERα alone nor inhibition of both receptors (i.e. ERα and ERβ) blocked the E4-dependent cell survival activity. However, E4 ﹢ PHTTP (inhibition of ERβ alone) significantly down-regulated the cell survival rate.
