1,1,2,2-Tetrafluoroethyl methyl ether is a fluoromethyl ether compound, a colorless, transparent liquid, used as a special solvent in organic synthesis, especially suitable for reactions that require an inert environment (such as fluorine chemical transformations), and has good solubility for some polar and non-polar organic compounds[1, 2]. 1,1,2,2-Tetrafluoroethyl methyl ether can be used as a co-solvent for lithium-ion batteries[3, 4].
